MALTI, aka Myrtis Kathleen Kennedy, is originally from Biloxi, Mississippi. She studied art at the University of South Alabama in Mobile and began painting signs and murals on the Gulf Coast in the 1980's. She moved to Redondo Beach, CA in 1989 and continued her career as a self employed free-lance artist and started "Malti Artwork." Malti's specialties include murals, signs, mosaics and complete special design for homes and businesses.
Malti Kennedy lives in San Pedro, CA and today she enjoys training, teaching and assisting her apprentice, Vika Afanasyeva.

Well over half of Malti Kennedy's work is residential and unseen by the public eye. Malti has been featured in the L. A. Times, the Daily Breeze, WLOX TV and the Sun Herald. Malti has received City commissions and awards from the City of Hermosa Beach, CA and was "Craftsperson of the Year" in her home town of Biloxi, MS in 1994.
